A small addition and little reorganisation.

Quite a lot was going behind the scenes during our wedding preparations. We wanted our own personal touch to our ang bao boxes,so Lis, clearly the creative half, decorated the box. The star attraction was the Sylvanian Family bunnies.

The other box with a ribbon decoration…

For the church wedding favours, we also wanted something personal. We hit on the idea of packing our favourite sweets – Ambrosoli Balsamic honey candy. We thought it would be more meaningful. :) Lis packed the candy into the little paper bags, and I helped with some. I printed the labels using my inkjet printer.

One Month on…

What a blur it has been… Before the wedding, time flew by so fast, what with all the packing and clearing and wedding prep. Before I knew it, the wedding day had come, and I was putting on my tuxedo outfit, adjusting my bow tie, joining my “brothers” and so beginning the wedding day with fetching the bride, followed by the church wedding, and then the wedding lunch. After that, we flew off to Sydney, Australia for our honeymoon, came back for a while, then went on a short trip to Bangkok, and now back in Singapore and diving full-fledged into married life and work.

A very common question I’ve been getting is, “How is married life?” Initially, I replied with “good”, but I felt that didn’t do any justice to what married life really felt to me. So after that, I would answer with, “fantastic!” Because married life is fantastic! What better feeling can there be to finally be married to the love of my life, to be part of her life, and she part of mine?

For our first month anniversary, Lis brought me out for dinner at Crystal Jade Ginseng Chicken & BBQ, which we’ve been wanting to try for some time. The ginseng soup met our expectations, and it was our favourite dish So good that Lis decided to buy a portion back for my parents. :)

It is such a wonderful feeling to be married :)

Welcome!

If you came to this website because you saw our RSVP e-mail address, welcome! Yes, this is a real website, JonElise.Us :) There’s a lack of updates because we’ve been really, really busy preparing for our wedding. Thanks for visiting, and hope to see you at our wedding!

Second Anniversary

Sunday was our second anniversary! Happy Anniversary Lis!

I think I’m a very confused individual. On one hand, I can’t believe it’s already two years since we got together, and on the other hand, I can’t believe it’s only been two years. I’m looking forward to many more anniversaries to come :)

We spent our afternoon doing our wedding preparations, as will much of the rest of the year. We are enjoying the planning and preparation process, and of course, looking forward to our big day!
