The Woman in Black…

So the other day, we decided to go on a date and caught a Daniel Radcliff show, The Woman in Black.

Honestly we are both scaredy-cats and we jump at the slightest BOO! Jon was hesitant but hey, I thought,  how bad can it be. It’s the Harry Potter guy Daniel Radcliff. It’ll problably remind us of Harry Potter so not that scary!

I was wrong.

This show is one of the scariest horror shows I’ve watched. I don’t know which are the elements that creeped me out, but it’s really frightening. To prove my point, a couple walked out of the cinema halfway through the show, and it was just the build-up of the movie!

We didn’t scream, but that’s only because we were frozen in fright. Later that night, I made Jon go to the toilet with me and stand guard outside the door, just in case the Woman in Black pops out…

I’m also very impressed with Daniel Radcliffe. His acting was convincing and at no point was I reminded of Harry Potter, only his accent. ;)

If you enjoy getting scared, watch this!

Date day/night

Joanna got a promotion, so lucky us got a treat at Jade!

We went there once with my MIL and FIL, and we all loved the food at Jade. Hmmm I remember the abalone siew mais and scallops and truffle yam puffs with fond memories!

My MIL informed after reading some blogs that the standard of the food has dropped, so we went there with lowered expectations.

True enough, the food wasn’t as impressive.  :-? I wonder is the restaurant trying to cut cost?

Anyway, here’s us playing around with Jon’s new apps on his Andriod phone. Bah. I want Andriod too! My phone seems so boring compared to his. We tried out the Retro camera:

Looks like I’ve liquid paper all over…. -.-

Then we went off for a movie!

We enjoyed the show. It’s so silly! The animals in the show were hilarious. I especially like the Mollie the giraffe. So cute!

Then we went to Bella Pizza for some pizza fix. We had the mascarpone pizza, which also has mushrooms and truffle oil in it. It was delicious, but a little too rich if you’re not sharing. Hmmmm I love truffles.

The restaurant is packed as usual. Since we didn’t make any reservations, we had to wait for 15 mins for a table.

It’s confirmed, I definitely have problems with some food. I wake up with a flat stomach (yay!), walk around with a flat stomach but once I eat noodles/pastas/ whatever it is, I will bloat. To the extent I’ve people asking if I’m pregnant. SO SAD RIGHT. I’ll just reply, “nah I’m fat, not pregnant”. *sigh*  It also feels really uncomfortable. I’ll never forget that night after Bella pasta, it was so painful and I had to puke everything out to feel better. This is coming from someone who cries everytime I puke.  I wonder what caused this… weird syndrome. I was definitely alright when I ate pasta last time! Either that, or I wasn’t paying much attention. *sigh* Old already…

Jon and I discussed and decided that I try a gluten-free diet. Hopefully we can save me a trip to the specialist for a food allergy test! It’s very, very expensive. Hope it works!

Latest addiction: Futurama

Ever since the latest season was released, we spent our nights watching episodes of Futurama. Apparently it’s created by the creators of The Simpsons. It’s really lame and weird at times, but I enjoy the slapstick humour.  ;-)

If you like The Simpsons, I’m sure you’ll like this as well!
