So, the other day, I opened my wardrobe and to my horror, the initially neat piles of clothes almost fell to the floor. I’ll never allow that to happen cos that means MESS.
With Hubby’s help (a lot of help), my wardrobe is now fantastically neat and orderly.
Before:
I can now see everything I have. I love it!
Finally, the kitchen renovations were done, and I could finally unbox and setup the De’Longhi Icona ECO 310 espresso machine. Making the first cup of espresso was bliss – hearing them whir of the pump, watching the coffee flow, smelling the fragrance, steaming the milk…
Aaaaaahhhh…….. How I missed making coffee for us in the morning. It has become my routine in the morning, spending that ten to fifteen minutes concentrating on brewing the perfect cup of espresso. So much so that when the kitchen was being renovated, I compensated by reading and reading Internet articles describing in great detail how to brew (the technical term is “pull”) the perfect cup of espresso. (by the way, the elements are: good coffee beans, just the right fineness of grind, the right tamping, and good timing). I think I drove Lis nuts with my reading obsession.
Now I am back to my routine. This is one routine I enjoy. I find it therapeutic even. And if the coffee tastes extra good and lights up Lis’ face, that’s a bonus! ![]()
The cheap Carrefour espresso machine that I’d been using stopped working, so I switched to a drip coffee machine. Unfortunately, both Lis and I have been spoiled by espresso, and the drip coffee just doesn’t do it for us.
We’ve been looking around for a reasonably priced espresso machine, and spotted this at Courts:
Whoooooo… And it’s only $300+! Seriously considering it for the sake of a good cuppa in the morning!
Every now and then, I enjoy logging into FB and snoop around the PrivĂ© thread. Our future neighbours conscientiously update the forum with the latest developments. It’s quite exciting to see the developments of our future home!
Here are some pictures:
As of 3rd Sept 2011 -
As of 5th Sept 2011 -
Now, the expected completion date is end of 2012 or early 2013, instead of end 2014. This is great news!
Really looking forward to our new home
