Nail obsession

I’ve a weakness for nail polish/manicures/pedicures.

I love getting my nails done and having my nails look shiny and colourful and beautiful. Getting a manicure/pedicure never fails to lift up my spirits. It’s a real treat to sit there and get pampered (if they manage not to cut my cuticle. Ouch)

I’m gearing towards these nail looks but unfortunately, it probably wouldn’t last very long since teaching kind of shortens the lifespan of the pretty nails. They just don’t last when you’re fumbling around in class with the children.

Here are some of my favs -

Love this twist to the classic french manicure! (source unknown)

Gold glitter! <3 (Source)

Really want a bottle of this! A Dutch brand nail polish that has some truly unique and beautiful colours. Unfortunately it’s only available in The Netherlands. Might have to get my Aunt to send over a bottle! This is a denim blue colour with duochrome flakes. Beautiful! (Source)

Been there done that a few times with jade nail polish. Now I’ll going for lime green. (Source)

Lastly, I’m looking for a bottle of this! Chanel’s Mimosa. Let me know if you see any! It’s OOS. :(  (Source)

Cute little Badgers.

Since I’ve been having restless nights, Jon got me this cute little Badger balm. It’s supposed to aid sleep. I’m quite sceptical since the previous sleep-aiding product I’ve used gave me pimple ( The Body Shop’s Deep Sleep pulse point balm  ). He’s very optimitic though, so he ended up getting me the Badger Deep Sleep balm.

According to the very cute tin, there’s lavender and bergamot, I like! So last night, feeling restless again I applied some to my temples and under my nose. I didn’t knock out immediately (much to my dismay) but I did feel more sleepy. Did it help me? Erm. I’m not sure but it did relax me. I will try for another few days.

I’m quite amused with the number of balms Badger has. There’s like a balm for every mood/feeling. I’ve already spotted a few that will be really useful to teachers. ;-)  This is all really tongue-in-cheek of cos.
